Studying political science at Southern Arkansas University
Jasmine Rigdon debated in the Texas UIL policy debate league for one year and was an octo-finalist at the state level and district winner in Informative Speaking. She holds other tournament level awards as well. Jasmine is currently a student studying political science at Southern Arkansas University and on weekends she works with schools in Texas to judge Policy debate, LD debate, Informative Speaking, and Poetry. She also currently works as a freelance debate consultant. She enjoys helping kids improve on the things that they are passionate about and it's what inspired her to become a camp counselor. Her leadership background ranges from club president in art, the debate team captain, to section leader in her high school band and even a vacation bible school leader. She is actively trying to bring debate to her college campus and enjoys helping anybody she can in speech and debate. She is looking forward to helping students find their voice and passion in the realm of speech and debate and show how much fun you can have while learning. Though she was only in debate for a short amount of time, it changed her life.
