Camp Life and Wellness Coordinator, Camp Instructor, Assistant Camp Director
Hailey Cruz earned her Bachelor's Degree in English Education in May 2015 at Kean University and her Masters Degree in School counseling. She is a current school counselor, ESL Saturday teacher and night school teacher. She spent one year oversees in Wenzhou, China, where she taught English to Chinese students, as well as Spanish dancing. She also has experience working with middle and high school students, as she worked at the guidance office for four years as a student ambassador. She is now pursuing her Masters Degree in Counseling Education with the hopes of helping students with their career path as well as their emotional and social needs. As a formal resident assistant who won the RA of the Year award and the Hall Director's Right Hand RA award, she is passionate in programming, bonding, and crisis management. Team builders and games are something that she does frequently so she sincerely hopes that the students learn not only to have a voice in Capitol debate camp, but that they also can find a family within the camp as well as enjoy themselves!

About Capitol Debate
Our Summer Camp and Year-round programs have helped build students’ communication and critical thinking skills, thus leading to better academic performance at school. The curricula of Capitol Debate debate camps is aimed to equip children with the ability to structure arguments, prepare debate cases, research evidence, write rebuttal briefs, deliver speeches and refute opponents. Students become prepared to give outstanding speeches in class, perform in a school debate or join their high school debate teams, Model United Nations teams or speech teams. Learn more »
