Capitol Debate gave me the opportunity to utilize my skills and embrace my passion. I want to spread the beauty that debate has to as many individuals as possible and Capitol Debate is a great environment for that.
OMG!!! I thought I would be worried about my daughter going to the camp for her first time sleeping away but I did not worry at all. The staff is amazing and took great care of my daughter. They build relationships with the students while teaching them so much.
I think that Capitol Debate is a great place to learn how to debate, and that it teaches students while letting them have fun.
This camp was a really good experience. If your wondering if you should sign up or not, you’ll wonder why you questioned signing up after camp is over. These 2 weeks here helped me learn a lot and was overall an excellent camp to go to.
I became much more independent and mature in these two weeks than what I normally would have in two months. You have so much fun in the dorms that you don't have time to miss your family. Camp is an awesome and epic experience!!
I went into this camp really apprehensive, and I came out really liking what I learned. This camp was my beginning step into the world of public forum, and it made me realize just how fun and challenging debate was.
Before coming to Capitol, debate was a small part of my life and I had never really spent too much time on it. Capitol has unlocked my passion for debating and I really want to dedicate myself to debate for the next three years of my high school experience. I feel integrated into the debate community and I have already made unforgettable friends through it.
Working at Capitol Debate is every teacher's dream: Teaching relevant, fun material to students eager to learn. It's a wonderful experience for everyone involved.
Capitol Debate helped me since last year, and this year. I have learned so much, learning how to speak well, learning how to write cases well, and learning to be a team. I want to have a shoutout to Victor, as he is the greatest person!
I was amazed by the amount of knowledge my son gained during the two-week camp. This was his first experience of learning and actually practicing debate, and I think now he has solid knowledge of what a public forum debate is and how to search for evidence to support his argument.
