The goal of our day camps is to teach debate students the basics of argument and develop communication skills, problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and increased self-esteem. They are not as rigorous as our corresponding overnight academic camps, so they are the perfect opening for new debaters. Complete description »

I went into this camp really apprehensive, and I came out really liking what I learned. This camp was my beginning step into the world of public forum, and it made me realize just how fun and challenging debate was.
Relationships, experiences, values, skills, challenges - are life lessons that stay with your teen forever. My kids had amazing FUN. They made tons of friends which are long-lasting. They gained skills for a lifetime.
Debate camp really changed my life. It turned my endless rambling into quality speech and overall made me just that much better of a person.
I love Capitol Debate! The curriculum in the program really works to improve all aspects of the campers. They learn to be leaders, speakers, and researchers in less than 2 weeks.
I think Capitol Debate gave my son insight into what debate is like and let him try it out to see if it is something he is interested in pursuing.
It was a great camp for me and it was my first time away from home.
Truly amazing experience, best camp you will ever go to!!!
This debate camp will give your kid the skill set to advocate for themselves for the rest of their life. They will also make close friends. Meg loved everything she learned but mostly she loved feeling apart of something bigger than herself. She loved the instructors and friends.
This is a wonderful program that introduces the fundamentals of debate and an excellent camp for younger students to get the away from home experience. Program is well run and the staff is super!
This camp made me a better speaker, better person, and a better student. I'm sure I will go into my next year of school better equipped to succeed. The camp also sparked in me the desire to improve my debate skills.
