Capitol Debate makes learning engaging and fun, which is the best of both worlds!
I went into this camp really apprehensive, and I came out really liking what I learned. This camp was my beginning step into the world of public forum, and it made me realize just how fun and challenging debate was.
I found myself enjoying Capitol Debate a lot more than I thought I would. The people there were great and I'd love to see them again, and I felt that I really grew as a debater and a speaker. I definitely think that I improved with this camp, and I think that anyone who attends it will improve as well.
Capitol Debate is more than just a summer camp and debate program; it's a family. I love Capitol because it builds a community of driven, intelligent students that want to use their voice to effectuate change in any field they choose to pursue. Capitol Debate fosters the building of communication, analytical, and research skills; but most of all, Capitol provides students with friendships and a community that they will cherish forever.
Capitol Debate is a wonderful place to learn about debate and make new friends. The staff is wonderful and helpful. This place has really made me smile. I met people from all over the state and some from neighboring states. I was happy to be here with both old friends and new friends.
This program helps students to ponder about current important issues today. My son, Daniel already recommended two of his best friends at school to join in the debate camp.
It has given me new insights into debating and has set a base for my debating career.
Capitol Debate offers kids just the right amount of fun and academics at camp! My daughter Natalie Gonzalez, loved everything about the camp.
The middle school camp was an excellent introduction to debate. The staff, programming, and college campus facilities were top notch. As a parent, I also appreciated the great ethnic and geographic diversity of the students.
My son Christopher has been going to the debate camp for four years, and my daughter Rachael has been there for three years. They enjoy the camp more and more every year. They admire their coaches and leaders. The kids are reserved and competitive. This is the best environment for their Summer Camp. They are always excited about meeting their friends at the camp. When their regular school ends in mid June, they would ask, mom, are we going to the debate camp this year? I can feel the excitement in them that they are chatting with their friends on the East Coast and notifying them that they are coming. My kids are happy and enjoy the camp very much.
