Summer Camp Experience
Not only will Capitol Debate students learn debating skills through our programs; they will feel an increase in self-worth, learn critical thinking skills and improve public speaking and communication skills with their peers. Two weeks at camp will result in lifelong friendships and memories that will resonate with our students throughout their academic, personal and professional careers.
Campers return to our program year after year because of how life-changing our Summer Debate Camps prove to be. Our parents will tell you themselves that they proudly stand by their investment in Capitol Debate because of the impact it has had on their families. We invite you to join us this summer to take part in this life-changing experience.
Students at Capitol Debate’s Babson College Debate Camp will be housed in the Mandell Family Hall on Babson’s campus. It is their newest residential building setup in apartment style accommodations. Each floor has 6 to 8 apartments with each apartment consisting of 4 bedrooms, two bathrooms, one shower, a living room, and a kitchen. Students won’t have access to the stove but will be able to use the refrigerator and sink.
Babson’s dining options are extensive and can serve every taste and every dietary need. Vegetarian and vegan options are available on a daily basis, alongside a variety of different dining options including Asian, Italian, and a traditional American grill. Babson College’s dining hall also offers a salad bar, sandwich bar, and a large variety of beverages.
Babson College is a private business school located in the affluent Boston suburb of Wellesley, Massachusetts. An independent, not-for-profit institution, Babson is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, and the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS). As the No. 1 leader in entrepreneurship for 20 consecutive years, Babson is globally recognized for its one-of-a-kind Entrepreneurial Thought and Action® (ET&A) methodology that teaches undergraduates, graduates, and executives to balance action, experimentation, and creativity with a deep understanding of business fundamentals and rigorous analysis as the ideal approach to creating economic and social value.
