Sal Sandoval competed in Public Forum for four years at Cypress Woods High School in Houston, Texas. While at CWHS, Sal served as an officer on his team both his junior and senior year and was also the president of the Speech & Debate team. Sal had notable success both his junior and senior year by breaking at nearly every national tournament he attended. His results include winning the Bellaire National Tournament and placing second in the Bellaire Round Robin. Among these finishes are late elimination rounds at George Mason, Millard North, Isidore Newman, Holy Cross, TFA State, and amongst other tournaments. He is also a three-time qualifier to the Texas Forensics State tournament. Sal is a two-time veteran of Capitol Debate camps and is excited to be working this summer. Sal is currently a senior at Bates College pursuing a major in Political Science and a minor in History.

Our Summer Camp and Year-round programs have helped build students’ communication and critical thinking skills, thus leading to better academic performance at school. The curricula of Capitol Debate debate camps is aimed to equip children with the ability to structure arguments, prepare debate cases, research evidence, write rebuttal briefs, deliver speeches and refute opponents.
