Julian Melendi is a graduating senior at Bridgewater-Raritan High School in New Jersey, where he is currently the President of the Forensics Speech and Debate team, as well as the Public Forum captain. He is also the President of the Model United Nation team and the lead attorney on the Mock Trial team. In debate, Julian has reached late-stage elimination rounds at several national tournaments, such as Princeton, the University of Pennsylvania, George Mason University, Pennsbury, and Ridge. Due to these accomplishments, he has qualified to the Gold Division of the Tournament of Champions, becoming the first team from Bridgewater to do so in over half a decade. Julian is very excited to be teaching at Capitol Debate this summer, and looks forward to working with both staff and students alike to create a fun, positive and productive learning environment for all. Julian will be attending Yale University in the fall, and is planning to study Political Science and History.
