Julia Murray is a student at Purdue University studying clinical psychology. She was co-captain of the Riverside Speech and Debate team in Greer, SC. During her career, she was a finalist in Lincoln-Douglas Debate at the George Mason Patriot Games and a finalist in Extemporaneous Speaking at the Barkley Forum at Emory University. At NSDA Nationals, she advanced to quarterfinals in World School Debate and semifinals in International Extemporaneous Speaking.
Her goal is to help students develop public speaking skills, research skills, an ability to think on their feet, and the confidence to state their position on matters clearly. Along with that, she appreciates the opportunity summer camp provides to voice an opinion, create lifelong friendships, and form lasting memories.
