Dana Kiel is a graduate of the University of Denver, where she studied International Political Economy and traveled with the British Parliamentary Debate team. After graduation, she served as a 4th-grade teacher with Teach for America in Baton Rouge Louisiana before moving to New York to work for a leadership consulting company. She is passionate about youth leadership development and was recently selected to serve on an international committee to develop curriculum for a global youth leadership program in Ukraine. In all of her debate coaching, she takes a holistic lens that focuses on overall leadership and life skills development.

Our Summer Camp and Year-round programs have helped build students’ communication and critical thinking skills, thus leading to better academic performance at school. The curricula of Capitol Debate debate camps is aimed to equip children with the ability to structure arguments, prepare debate cases, research evidence, write rebuttal briefs, deliver speeches and refute opponents.
