Program Overview

Once your child has made it through Introduction to Public Speaking and become proficient in public address, let them continue with more advanced training and learn more advanced forms of speech. This course allows kids to develop competitive strategies to strengthen their debating skills and further their forensic careers. The techniques taught will not only improve their public speaking but will grow their communication and analytical skills as well.

How We Teach

Even with more experienced students, we want them to practice and apply everything they learn. Application is always essential to grasping concepts and growing in abilities.

As they study more challenging styles of writing and talking and learn more strategic ways to apply words, students will be shown how to successfully deliver complex forms of speech. They will develop their speaking abilities by writing and presenting different forms of public presentation.

What We Teach

These workshops build on the base of our Introduction to Public Speaking. The principles will be the same, but the applications will be more difficult.

These public speaking for children workshops refine the process. Students are introduced to prose and poetry, public address and declamations, and impromptu speeches. This familiarity fosters confidence in communication, providing your child with tools to voice their opinions proficiently. The early development of these attributes allows children to prepare for the challenges they will face as adults.

We Make Speakers Better

Our staff’s goal is to guide the progress of each student. They are no longer laying the foundation, but creating a variety of skills based on that foundation. The instructors observe our campers as they speak. They analyze and assess every student’s abilities. Their feedback focuses on refining the basics while moving the campers into new areas of presentation. Students will improve and expand as speakers.

Public Speaking for Children Lets Them Learn the Theory of Speech, Then Apply it in Front of Their Peers

This higher level speech class is an opportunity to refine and further presenting skills under the expert oversight of our staff. Students have already built a solid base with our Introduction to Public Speaking. They will grow into more advanced, complex, and difficult forms of verbal communication.
