Keeping Confidence and Optimism after feeling like you failed.

“I think that debate is one of those activities that you never master. There will always be someone, somewhere who will be better at something. Its always a game of pushing through to be better than I was the day before. When I first started debate I lost quite a bit….in fact, I didn’t make it to elimination rounds until my 2nd year in competition. Taking loss after loss definitely gets frustrating but I continued to learn from those losses and push through and eventually became the successful debater in both high school and college that everyone knows today. When you think about it, no success comes without sacrifice. For me, this was and still is worth it”.
